A Very RARE early 1960s Tissot/Turler (Double Label) in overallVery Good condition!By mid-century, co-branded aka"Double Labeled" watches from a vast number of top-tier houses including Vacheron Constantin, Jaeger-LeCoultre (JLC), Blancpain, International Watch Co. (IWC), Universal Geneve, Omega and even Tissot had “Double Label" stamps appearing on their watches all the way from the early 1910s to the mid-1970s, and their mark adds a hint of “look closer” (to use Mayer's famous phrase) charm to some already stunning vintage watches. Examples of “Double Label” brand names would include labels such as Turler, Tiffany and even the likes of H. Samuel; Britain's Largest Jeweler! Worthy NOTE Re;EPSA - Ervin Piquerez S.A
The Piquerez family eventually managed to go back to producing watch components in 1939 [Piquerez SA (EPSA)], with focus on EPSA pressure sealed cases. The company was releasing innovative watch case constructions, and in 1955 it filed to patent two revolutionary case constructions the Monobloc and the Compressor. Both designs met with success, and the Compressor, which used outer pressure to increase the water-resistance provided by the gaskets located between the crown, the back and the case, became a best-selling line.
After what Ibelieve to be minor prescribed adjustments including a cleaning & lubrication, wear it occasionally and wipe it down clean with a jewelers cloth and put it safely away for another day of enjoyment!
